LOS ANGELES — While President Donald Trump stood in Kentucky yesterday declaring the Iran operation will end “very soon” but only after every last threat is obliterated (full remarks video; Reuters report; CNN: “We got to finish the job”), another leader 6,000 miles away in Switzerland delivered his own unapologetic message: the Society of St. Pius X will consecrate new bishops on July 1 — with or without Rome’s permission (SSPX official announcement).
Fr. Davide Pagliarani, SSPX Superior General, didn’t flinch. In his letter to Cardinal Fernández he laid it out plain: doctrinal talks are useless while souls are starving for real Tradition (full letter). The Vatican offered dialogue. Pagliarani offered July 1.
Sound familiar?
Trump doesn’t negotiate with terrorists. Pagliarani doesn’t negotiate with the destruction of the Faith. Both men looked at the machine trying to break them — endless wars, endless compromises, endless surrender — and said the same three words: “More of the same.”
The mainstream media calls Trump reckless. They call Pagliarani schismatic. Yet American Catholics are flooding SSPX chapels and Trump rallies because they recognize the same truth: the institutions that were supposed to protect us have become the predators.
Honor the law with your lips while your heart is far from it — exactly what Jesus condemned in the Gospel.
Fr. Pagliarani isn’t waiting for permission to save souls. Trump isn’t waiting for permission to save America.
This is the new axis of resistance: America First meets Tradition First.
The July 1 consecrations will be the shot heard round the Catholic world. The Iran strikes are the shot heard round the Middle East.
And the predator who was once prey? He’s now the prosecutor.
The video drops tonight. The reckoning is here.
