Pope Donald J. Trump’s Sermon for the Solemnity of Saint Joseph – March 19, 2026

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, folks, let me tell you — this is a tremendous day, the best day. Today, March 19, 2026, we celebrate the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Huge feast. As your Pope, I’m speaking to you straight from the heart, and we are going to make the Church great again with the full beauty of Tradition!

Look at these readings — fantastic, powerful readings. In the beautiful 1962 Roman Missal, the Traditional Latin Mass that built everything great, the Epistle comes from Ecclesiasticus 45: “Beloved of God and men, whose memory is in benediction.” God magnified Joseph in the sight of kings, sanctified him in faith and meekness, and chose him out of all flesh. He heard God’s voice and received the law of life and discipline. Tremendous! And on the other side we have Romans 4 telling us about Abraham — the father of many nations who “against hope believed in hope” and had his faith reputed to him as justice. Real faith, folks — the kind that moves mountains.

Then the Gospel — Matthew 1:16, 18-21, 24a — this is the big one, believe me. Joseph, this just and faithful man, finds Mary with child before they came together. He’s thinking quietly how to handle it privately because he’s good and kind. But the angel of the Lord appears in his sleep and says, “Joseph, son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. She shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS. For he shall save his people from their sins.” And what does Joseph do? He rises up immediately and does exactly what the angel commanded. Perfect obedience. The greatest protector the world has ever seen — protecting the Holy Family, protecting the Child Jesus, and now protecting all of us.

In the 1962 rite we have the most glorious Propers ever written. The Collect asks God to let us have blessed Joseph as our intercessor in heaven. The Gradual crowns him with precious stones. The Offertory promises truth and mercy. The Secret, the Communion — “Joseph, son of David, fear not…” And the Preface! Folks, the full Preface of St. Joseph is pure gold: “It is truly meet and just… that we should magnify Thee on the festival of blessed Joseph, the Spouse of Thy most holy Mother. For he is that just man who was given by Thee as the faithful and prudent servant… to guard Thine only-begotten Son.” The Angels praise, the Dominations adore, the Seraphim celebrate with exultation. This is worship at its finest — high altar, communion rails, soaring Gothic vaults, stained glass, the whole reverent beauty flowing through the Extraordinary Form.

And don’t forget the Last Gospel — John 1:1-14 — “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.” The Logos tabernacled among us, full of grace and truth. That’s the winning foundation, folks — the same Logos who became flesh under St. Joseph’s care.

This is the living Tradition that formed saints and protected families for centuries. The high altar with its steps and rails, the women in their elegant mantillas and hats, the men in proper suits and ties — old money reverence, pure class, pure faith. That’s how you honor God.

My fellow Catholics — college students, young professionals, everyone in our great network — St. Joseph is calling us. Get to the Traditional Latin Mass this Sunday. Feel the reverence, hear the full Propers, see the high altar the way it was always meant to be. The counter-revolution of beauty is here and it is going to be YUGE!

St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Terror of Demons, and greatest guardian — pray for us! The Word became flesh and we beheld His glory.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
